About the Role

MHA Cayman is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Audit Director to help lead our growing audit practice in the Cayman Islands. The successful candidate will act as Engagement Director for investment funds and virtual asset service providers (VASPs), especially digital asset-focused funds and businesses. This Cayman-based role would work closely with our Cayman and London-based audit teams, which operate under common ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee audit engagements for investment funds and digital asset businesses.

Help provide technical and strategic leadership to the Cayman audit practice.

Ensure audit quality and compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and IFRS or US GAAP.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering responsive and insightful service.

Mentor, develop, and review audit staff to foster technical and professional excellence.

Help lead and support new business development and client proposal initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Proven success as an audit leader within the asset management industry.

Eligible for licensing as an audit practitioner in the Cayman Islands.

Highly experienced qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent).

Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in auditing digital asset funds, crypto trading businesses, or Virtual Asset Service Providers.

An enthusiasm to focus on our strong understanding of complex digital asset transactions financial instruments, valuation techniques, and custody structures.

Skilled in team leadership, training, and international audit engagement management.

Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and IT proficiency.
