Application Deadline: 17 October 2025Department: Regulatory Operations - Business review UnitLocation: CaymanCompensation: $85,000 - $110,000 / yearDescriptionReporting into the Head of Onboarding, Regulatory Operations, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that business is accepted and undertaken in accordance with Ogier Global's policies and procedures and that the relevant AML/CFT risks have been properly assessed, documented and reviewed as applicable.The post holder will be expected to contribute to the continuing development and maintenance of an effective business review function at Ogier, as well as attend and constructively contribute to Business Review Unit and Regulatory Operations team meetings and other internal meetings and events as required from time to time. The role is required to support the wider Risk and Compliance Team, to help ensure that Ogier employees abide by their regulatory obligations and conform to industry best practices and professional standards.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the respective Service Line Heads, Risk and Compliance, Client On-boarding Unit (COU) and Senior Management to ensure a strong understanding of and adherence to the client acceptance and KYC policies and procedures;Review client acceptance workflows (CAWs and LAWs) prepared by the business. Ensure clients are properly identified and sufficient details known regarding the nature of the entities activities, owners, controllers and other relevant parties, source of funds and the associated AML/CFT and business risks have been appropriately identified, assessed and documented;Where submissions are insufficient, liaise with the Business to advise on the level of information required, liaising with the relevant Service Line Head, Risk and Compliance and RAP (Risk Assessment Panel) to set appropriate conditions;Monitor overdue Conditions Precedent/Conditions Subsequent ensuring overdue conditions are discussed/escalated to the Service Line Directors and Compliance as and when required;Undertake monitoring to ensure that business is not transacted prior to the clearance of any Conditions Precedent or outside the parameters of any Condition Subsequent set;Act as initial reviewer and gatekeeper and provide summary of analysis of risks, referring high risk matters to Risk and Compliance and all non-RORA matters to RAP for further consideration;Carry out data integrity and quality reviews to ensure that all risks have been appropriately documented;Assess compliance by the Service Lines with established policies, procedures and guidelines.
Where necessary, provide support and guidance to the business lines to combat issues identified;Provide regular reporting with respect to the adherence by the Business to the client take-on process;Encourage strong collaboration internally, including with the Ogier legal team and between Ogier Global's jurisdictional offices with regular dialogue to ensure opportunities or challenges are identified and acted upon in a timely fashion;Utilise influencing skills and experience to ensure adherence to process and procedures and implement change. Work with the Service Line Heads to drive performance management culture;Contribute toward the business as a whole in identifying process improvements, improvements in policies and procedures and any other service innovation changes that improve the client experience;Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the jurisdiction of Cayman;Maintain awareness of current anti money laundering regulations and trends;Manage and/or assist with any other ad-hoc Regulatory Operations projects as may be necessary;Monitor BRU KPIs, taking action to ensure expected deliverables and service levels are maintained.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseHold a professional qualification e.g. diploma level STEP or ICSA; ACCA; ACA or a legal professional qualification;Ideally have obtained a relevant degree from a recognised institution;Have a proven track record in fiduciary administration covering a range of client entity types;Have a good knowledge of the regulatory requirements affecting trust company business;Have sound business judgement and ability to assess risk;Be self-motivated and able to work in a demanding, pressured environment;Be a team player with excellent communication skills;Have excellent IT and organisational skills;Be adaptable and flexible in approach;Be prepared to travel to other Ogier offices.BenefitsOgier offers an excellent benefits package, including premium health care, life insurance and 22 days' annual leave.
