R U OK? are recruiting for the full-time and permanent position of Ambassador Program Manager to lead, grow and support our national Ambassador Program — a valued network of volunteers who share their lived experience through stories of hope. Their stories help spread the mission and message of R U OK?.
In this role, you’ll recruit, train and support ambassadors; match them to community speaking opportunities; ensure safe, high-quality program delivery; and maintain strong relationships with event organisers, community groups and stakeholders. You’ll bring structure, energy and innovation to a program that plays a vital part in our mission, as part of the broader function of the Community team.
We’re looking for someone with:
· 3+ years’ experience in program development (NFP experience welcomed)
· Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
· Experience working with lived-experience communities
· Excellent organisation, planning and attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Mac OS, and CRM use (Salesforce desirable)
· Ability to engage sensitively with sometimes-distressing stories while maintaining personal wellbeing and boundaries
· Flexibility during peak periods (R U OK?Day)
· Confidence in developing, coordinating, and presenting for training sessions
· Excited to work in a small, values-driven team
· Willingness to travel

We are a national fornally-registered suicide prevention charity and public health promotion - existing to encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times.
