The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is a regional financial institution established in 1970 for the purpose of contributing to the harmonious economic growth and development of the borrowing member countries (BMCs). In promoting its mission, CDB pays special attention to the needs of the less developed countries (LDCs) in the Region. The Bank is owned by its borrowing member countries in the Caribbean, as well as by Canada, China, Colombia, Germany, Italy, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. The headquarters of the CDB are located in Wildey, St. Michael, Barbados.
