JOB SUMMARYManaging and coordination of all aspects of Ocean Freight - Import activities (Domestic UAE + Intl). Providing DPW Ocean Import freight forwarding customers with a high level of communication regarding the status of their shipmentsKEY RESPONSIBILITYFreight Forwarding OperationsProfessional communication in dealing with DPW Logistics clientsFast and quality responses to any enquiries from customers, overseas agents and vendors in regards of shipments, pricing requests and questions related to freight forwardingResponsible for the pro-active handling of all tasks related to freight forwarding activitiesDetailed knowledge about UAE customs procedures and regulations and being able to provide DPW Logistics clients with high-end advice regarding the required import and export documentationResponsible for accurate billing process following the clients individual price agreements and ensuring timely and professional communication of the invoice towards the clientsFirst point of contact for clients on all operational issues pertaining to shipments handled by DPWLCommunicate with origin and/or destination offices and agents in regards of operational issues and follow up daily for any pending jobs and enquiries until completedLiaising and coordination with suppliers and 3rd party logistics vendors in order to arrange jobs outsourced to them on behalf of DPW LogisticsAccurate and comprehensive data entry inclusive income and cost accruals into DPW Logistics CargoRunner Freight Forwarding Operational platformCoordination with carriers, vendors and customers in regards of the event of any missing and/or damaged shipments and handling of claims in regards of damage and/or lost shipmentsCoordination with clearance department for all import / export shipmentsCost ControlA strong drive to optimize DPW Logistics profits in regards Air, Sea, and Road Freight activities.Ensure to develop strong relationship with vendors, carriers and suppliers optimizing best market buying conditionsDepartmental ActivitiesExcellent communicational skills towards DPW Logistics clearance team, DPW Logistics warehousing operations, and DPW Logistics Ocea/Air Import/Export department in order to optimize service performanceTake part in both regular internal and external training to maintain and increase logistics knowledgeRelationship ManagementMaintain excellent relationship with 3rd party vendors and logistics suppliersMaintain excellent relationship with internal other departments such as Accounting and finance, Commercial team and Warehousing OperationsQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSEssential Qualification: Graduate and entry-level ProfessionalsDesirable Qualification: Logistics Education or a minimum of 5 years experience in a freight forwarding roleWork Experience: Minimum 5 year of experience in Ocean freight Import & export for a mid- or large size freight forwarding companyTechnical skills required to perform the role:General knowledgePort Operation and import/export processesSea Freight Logistics- FCL Containers- Special Equipment (Open Tops / Flat Racks)Sea-Air Transportation ModesCustoms Clearance ProcessesCustoms Clearance Documentation
