Job Summary:
Hamilton Re is seeking a highly motivated and experienced actuary to join our Actuarial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing actuarial support for Hamilton Re's reinsurance business, including pricing, reserving, and capital modeling.
Responsibilities:
Perform pricing and risk assessment for a variety of reinsurance products
Develop and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and capital modeling
Analyze data and provide insights into business performance
Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for management and regulatory authorities
Support the development and implementation of actuarial best practices
Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting, claims, and finance
Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in the reinsurance industry
Strong knowledge of actuarial principles and techniques
Experience with actuarial modeling software, such as ResQ, Igloo, or Tyche
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
