Accountant – Financial Control | Investment ManagerAn established investment manager is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its growing Financial Control team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in managing the accounting and financial reporting for a diverse group of fund structures and operating businesses.The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, including the posting and review of payables, receivables, and journal entries, as well as maintaining accurate financial records across multiple fund structures and entities. They will prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, perform bank and credit card reconciliations, and assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and group consolidations.This position calls for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy, process improvement, and delivering high-quality financial information to support decision-making across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily accounting tasks and ensure the integrity of financial data.Prepare management accounts and consolidated financial reports.Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and corporate cards.Prepare journal entries, adjustments, and accruals.Develop and analyse budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.Maintain documentation supporting all financial transactions.Contribute to the design and implementation of internal controls and accounting procedures.Support ad hoc financial projects as directed by the Financial Controller.About YouBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.Professionally qualified (ACA, CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent).Minimum of 4 years’ accounting experience, ideally across multiple entities or currencies.Strong working knowledge of accounting platforms such as QuickBooks or Xero.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid understanding of accounting principles.Highly analytical, organised, and detail-oriented.Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.Flexible approach, with a willingness to work extended hours when required.Why JoinThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to take on a broad and hands-on role within a respected investment management business.
