Amentum is seeking a Transportation Manager to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission on Andros Island, Bahamas. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure ongoing maintenance and operation of over 300 pieces of equipment/vehicles.

Supervise multi-cultural staff of approximately 35 in a multi-cultural environment.

Plans, organizes, coordinates, prioritizes, assigns, and evaluates the work of subordinate employees.

Utilize NAVFAC P-300, NAVFAC P-307, NAVSUP PUB 538, NAVAIR Maintenance Program, NAVSEA SW023-AH-WHM-010 on a daily basis.

Procure and maintain Licensing Official status and have current letter of assignment.

Update and keep crane maintenance files per NAVFAC P307. Meet with Navy Crane Center and NUWC Crane Assist Team during inspections to ensure compliance with crane program.

Oversee maintenance and operation of construction equipment, material/weight handling equipment, GSE and other vehicles.

Develops and maintains long range equipment/vehicle replacement program.

Control dispatch and vehicle assignments through Transportation Clerk.

Ensure all department personnel are properly credentialed for the equipment operated.

Establish and oversee a training, certification and licensing program in accordance with Department of Defense and U.S. Navy guidelines.

Submit reports in accordance with contract requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

AA/AS degree or fifteen (15) years equivalent experience.

Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in Automotive and Heavy Equipment

maintenance including ten (10) years in a supervisory or oversight role.

Qualified as a NCC Mobile Crane electrical and mechanical inspector.

Certified as a Naval Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMMO-51)

CDL Class A required.

Must be competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and knowledgeable of

Access.

Must be proficient with MAXIMO and Power BI applications.

Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push and pull up to 50 pounds.

Required to have mobility on sand and rough terrain to supervise activities.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.

Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license are required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
