Job ID: 386562 Location: US-MI-Grand Blanc Department: Cardiology Scheduling Hour: Full Time 40 hours weekly Summary: The Scheduler is responsible for performing duties related to scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients and updating patient information. May perform additional clerical duties, such as patient referral coordination. Responsibilities: Schedules and coordinates patient appointments in person or via telephone. Confirms appointments and cancels and/or reschedules as directed. Verifies patient information and updates record(s) as necessary. Registers patients by verifying that patient demographic and insurance information is accurate and current. Obtains all required signatures. Collects co-pays, enters charges, and balances daily reconciliation according to standard procedures. Orders/Maintains supplies. Follows-up on referrals and pre-authorizations. Education & Experience: High school diploma/GED required. One year of related experience preferred. Additional Preferences: Excellent customer services skills. Experience answering multiple phone lines. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is highly desired. EPIC experience is a PLUS Ability to be flexible. Fast learner. Critical thinker. Strong interpersonal skills. This is an ON-SITE role, but flexibility is granted on a situational basis.
