Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately and provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies regarding drug storage, handling, and distribution.
  • Conduct medication therapy management, ensuring the safe and effective use of prescribed drugs.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.
  • Participate in drug procurement, stock management, and ensuring the availability of essential medications.
  • Stay updated with advancements in pharmaceuticals and integrate best practices into daily operations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
  • A valid license from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of drug interactions, contraindications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and counseling skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
