Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies regarding drug storage, handling, and distribution.
- Conduct medication therapy management, ensuring the safe and effective use of prescribed drugs.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of all prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.
- Participate in drug procurement, stock management, and ensuring the availability of essential medications.
- Stay updated with advancements in pharmaceuticals and integrate best practices into daily operations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- A valid license from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of drug interactions, contraindications, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
