The Cove Eleuthera is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading our culinary team. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a deep understanding of high-end cuisine, kitchen operations, and team development. This role ensures excellence in food quality, presentation, and hygiene, while contributing to an innovative and dynamic dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily kitchen operations and team supervision
Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
Oversee pastry operations and contribute to creative menu development
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and enforce food safety standards
Manage inventory, minimize waste, and support procurement
Train, mentor, and lead culinary team members
Support administrative tasks related to kitchen operations
Requirements:
Culinary certification or equivalent hands-on experience
5+ years in a leadership role in a luxury hotel or fine dining kitchen
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Experience in pastry and dessert creation preferred
Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
