Partner with the best The Field Specialist is a field-based role that provides onsite support to customers during drilling, completion, or intervention operations. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of Baker Hughes equipment. You will be required to demonstrate ownership and be a key interface with customers. As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for: Performing maintenance and repair activities on equipment, which includes documentation of work. Operating as the field point of contact providing troubleshooting support and working through complex issues and operational resolutions. Participating in pre-job meetings with clients and other service providers to ensure job scopes are agreed upon and well understood. Assessing and making recommendations to ensure appropriate spare equipment are on location and available for the field operations. Ensuring all Baker Hughes safety policies and practices are followed. Reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents at the job site, escalating as appropriate. Providing field mentoring to new hires and providing regular field feedback on personnel to Operations Managers. Completing critical projects with general supervision. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Hold a Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years relevant experience or comparable experience. Be comfortable with regular travel within region. Have effective communication skills and be an open and effective communicator with both internal team and customer at the work location. Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electronics is essential. Demonstrate the ability to follow well defined instructions & procedures. Job Description Role Summary The Field Specialist is responsible for safely and efficiently performing specialized field services and equipment operations on customer well sites. This role demands extensive knowledge of service equipment and the associated processes necessary for optimal operational output and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities 1. Field Operations Executes specialized services according to company standards, client expectations, and regulations. Leads job risk assessments and proactively identifies & mitigates potential HSE risks to prevent incidents or injuries to personnel. Directs and actively mentors on site crew and proactively intervenes where standards or protocols are not maintained. Ensures quality and customer focus in field operations and reports critical technical problems immediately as well as participating in root cause analyses. Contributes proactively to planning jobs in advance and provides feedback on job program 2. Maintenance, Logistics & Quality Supports logistics management of equipment and assets required to perform service delivery. Reports on & contributes to equipment failure analyses with insights in execution performance to avoid any reoccurrence on further jobs and optimize equipment reliability. Conducts job handover process with rig crew/ client as well as proper documentation after the job. Promotes adherence to standardized processes and service quality levels on site to drive best practice performance. 3. HSE Compliance and Training Complies with all HSE regulations and guidelines during field operations. Understands the risks and mitigation related to company operations, proactively promotes compliance and intervenes to ensure safe and respectful operations. Strives for a strong safety culture. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering/ Petroleum Engineering / Electrical engineering) or Equivalent practical field experience. Minimum 1 years working experience as Wireline Field Engineer in Open hole logging, Cased hole logging/ Slickline & intervention. Experience on running a complex services like Formation testing/ imaging /pipe recovery/ perforation /Mechanical setting tool services. Strong experience of electric, hydraulic & diesel system, well control practice. Characteristics/Skills Willingness to travel at field (50-70% Time required) . Ability to understand safety regulation/ client’s requirements on oil gas field operation and act in consequence manner. Proactively learn on product service improvement and reliability and drive implementation. Be customer focus and take quick decision on customer side to fulfill requirement.
