We are now looking forResearch Assistantto join us in the Research Unit for Languages and Literature, English, for a fixed-term position of six months from 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2027.The Research Unit for Languages and Literature explores questions and phenomena in language studies, literature and cultural studies. Its research builds on theories and approaches in functional linguistics, interaction analysis, conversation analysis, cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, second language acquisition, communication, research on cultural memory and imagination. Relocation to Finland before the start of the position will be expected of any international candidate to be hired.SalaryThe position is a fixed-term position of six months from 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2027.The salary will be based on the level 4 of the demand level chart for other expert and support staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component).
