We are seeking a passionate candidate to lead the Sea of Abaco Dolphin Recover Project.

Responsibilities

The Conservation Officer will conduct community outreach, scientific communication, and lead the PR campaign to bring awareness of the declining bottlenose dolphin population in the Sea of Abaco. The Conservation Officer will be based at BMMRO's Marsh Harbour office and join marine mammal vessel surveys in the Sea of Abaco.

Qualifications

The applicant must be a Bahamian citizen; have a Bachelors degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science or a related field; be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience in stakeholder engagement; strong science communications skills; experience in public outreach and education; good writing skills; and able to swim.
