Today, LearnWorlds has c.11,000 customers in more than 140 countries and we have offices in Athens, Crete, and Limassol.About the role:We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support the company's financial and accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, handling tax and VAT obligations, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of Cyprus tax and accounting practices, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.Responsibilities:Maintain bookkeeping records and general ledger accounts, including bank and creditors reconciliationsPrepare monthly management accounts for internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timelinessLiaise with external consultants and auditorsMaintain strong knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation and compliance requirements across all relevant tax areas (including direct taxation, VAT, social insurance, and other statutory obligations) and ensure the timely submission of all tax filings and statutory returnsIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges within the accounting department, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and the efficient execution of daily activitiesPerform internal reviews and maintain proper supporting documentation to meet financial reporting and audit standardsLead initiatives to enhance accounting processes, workflows, and functional efficiencyCollaborate with internal teams to improve financial procedures and provide financial insights where neededRequirementsProfessional Certification: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA)Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience; Big 4 experience will be considered a strong advantageLanguage Skills: Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spokenTechnical Skills:Prior experience with NetSuite or SAP is essentialStrong IT literacy with solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordCore Competencies:High attention to detail and an analytical mindsetStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to identify opportunities for process and functional improvementsBenefitsPrivate life and health insurance plan extending coverage to immediate family membersOpportunity to participate in the Provident Fund upon completion of the probation periodYour personal annual training budgetAn annual home office allowance to set up your personal spaceFlexible working hoursCompany laptop 23 days of paid time off.
